A Fast Clean Meal and Day 2 Exercise Done

Sometimes my family wants to eat something different than I do. Or sometimes they want to eat something that isn’t considered part of the diet I’m following. Or sometimes I need to make something fast because I don’t have a lot of time. This is one of my fast meals that I make in those situations.

I love asparagus, and roasting them in the oven is one of my favorite ways to prepare it. This spray olive oil from Trader Joe’s makes it even easier to make.

Here’s the recipe I follow:

Then I pick up a roasted chicken from the grocery store. I can make several meals from this. But the fastest is when I just cut off a slice and remove the skin.

I finish off the meal with something sweet...Cinnamon Raisin Ezekiel Bread spread with a little almond butter. And of course a cup of tea and a glass of water.

Day 2 of exercise went well. It was the same as yesterday, alternating walking with running for a half an hour. I followed up with the modified push ups, wall sit and sit ups. I felt a little more tired and achy today, but that’s to be expected. My dog, Rocky (pictured), is not sure he’s a fan of the treadmill, so I have to work on that. He turns one in April, and then I’m hoping to train him to run with me. 😊
