Adding in Exercise
My goal in this blog is to be completely honest in sharing my journey back to health. So, here’s a picture...
I carry most of my weight in my mid-section, thighs, arms and face. So I guess pretty much all over except for my lower leg, lol. Here’s me on the treadmill during my first “Couch to 5K” workout. I decided to follow a plan so that I didn’t try to do too much too fast and then injure. Last time I did that I injured my knees and wound up having to swim for a while. I much prefer walking and running.
I then finished up by doing some modified push-ups, a wall-sit and some sit ups. Strength and core are important because not only do they help protect your body from injury, but they also build more muscle. Muscle burns more calories, and that should help me lose weight.
So, my first workout went well yesterday. It feels good to start and dream about where I will be in a few months.
