First weigh-in and Day 8
It was the first time I stepped on a scale since I started eating clean and exercising, and it showed that I lost 7 pounds!! I am only weighing myself once a week (on Fridays) so that I don’t get discouraged by any ups and downs. I know that weight comes off easiest in the beginning, so I won’t be losing that much every week, but it was definitely encouraging to see that number today...185. It is the second highest number that I’ve ever seen on a scale for me, but we are going in the right direction now, and I’m proud of myself for it. 😊❤️ Just got a new measuring tape...my waist measures 42 inches, my thigh is 25 inches, and my upper arm is 14 inches.
Exercise is going great! It’s still alternating walking and running, but I’m up to running 3 minutes in a row now. Strange that a few years ago, that was nothing for me, but it is a big achievement for me now. Looking forward to being able to run miles at a time someday soon. I’ve also increased my core work...40 modified push ups, 40 second wall sit, 80 sit ups.
Last night I was able to walk a few extra miles with my friends, Karen and Courtney. I love them so much. They are funny, real, and inspire me to be a better mother and friend. They are both amazing healthy cooks, and shared some recipes last night. Seth helped me make Pineapple Chicken last night, and tomorrow night we are making Karen’s Beef Barbecoa! Yum!!
